Sign her up for self defense classes, because once they attack her, and she fights back knowing exactly how to move, they will eventually stop, especially if she breaks a nose. I have been in her position with the bullying, i finally had enough of it this year and i hit the boy who was harassing me, I accidently broke his nose, but he never bothered me again. As for her father leaving her, counseling will help with the abandonment issues and the abuse she received from her grandparents can be dealt with by either filing a law suit for child abuse. If you want you can press charges against the children that beat her up as well, sue for emotional distress but that's not ideal. Try the counseling and self defense first. Tell her that I've been in her position and that despite it all, she will persevere and become a better person then any of them ever will be.
