Essay Ideas?????????????

As an english final, all sophomores have to write a paper on a current event topic that is arguable. For example: argue whether baseball players should be allowed to get laser eye surgery because they act as enhancers. A kid in my class mentioned nuclear power, another said cloning. But i need more ideas, do you guys have any?
