The scars where i cut myself about a month ago sometimes turn dark purple?

i used to be a cutter. well i still am kind of. im 14. i never know i do it i just wake up in the morning and see it there and i lock my door at night so i know it has to be me but anyway, i cut myself like a month ago and the scars turn dark purple sometimes. is that normal? what could it mean?
