Why do some colored contacts look so natural and others don't?

Like enhancers and opac contacts? i bought some non-prescribed blue contacts and it seemed you could still see my natural light brow color coming in between my pupil and the contacts. HELP where can i get these amazing contacts? and why arent cheap ones working?
