Carving name into tree?

I have a tree in my garden I want to carve the names of me and my wife into. I'd like a neat finish to this. I was wondering if there are any kind of jigsaw drill cutters, or anything that will first drill a hole, and then allow you to move the drill piece sideways etc cutting a curved line into the wood, a bit like a router but using a drill?
