Do international cartoons, that are dubbed in Hindi or any other local language in India, loose its flavor?

I know that cartoons are dubbed in Hindi and other local languages to attract a larger audience and i totally agree with dubbing but is less attention paid while dubbing for children's content (e.g. language used, way of expression etc)? Does the dubbed content actually lose its flavor and meaning?
