Dome-like sound system?

Hi, I been trying to find this audio enhancer or system that makes sound quality great. I don't remember what it was called, only what it looks like. It looks like a clear bubble/dome with to speakers also clear. An old friend of my had one for his mac but he said you can attach it to any audio device. I am no longer in contact with him so I am looking for a little help.
