Growth enhancers work?

hey guys, i am 17 years old im turning 18 this year in october i am 5'7, which i believe is short because i grow at a very slow rate, and i was really thinking of getting some type of those doctor recommended type of growth enhancement pills, but they are very costly so i dont want to waste money unless there really is a chance it will work? and i'm a male btw.
