Why do girls go for the cliche dude with the accoustic guitar/light rock?

Why do most girls fall head over heels over the idea of a guy who plays light rock, or even worse acoustic guitar. Personally I think light rock sucks, I mean music is expression. Rock is an expression of anger, rebellion, and energy. So why the hell are you playing so passively. Anyways as a talented bass player who's band has been told plenty of times we do the best rage against the machine covers people have ever heard, I'm wondering what is the average appeal of light rock and the guys who play it? I'm not trying to insult your opinions for those who are into this music, in trying to hear your rational.
